Happy is definitely an under-statement

I was one among the blue smileys until now :)

I feel happy… I feel pleasant.. I feel serenity… I feel love and not hatred… I feel glad… I feel content… I feel complete…. I feel cheerful… I feel the cool wind blowing through my hair, even though it is scorching hot outside… I feel the rainy drops on my face in spite of it being completely dry… I feel pure, true love not expecting anything in return… I feel lovely…. I feel life… I feel like there is a reason to live… I feel food… Good food…. You know why… Because

I AM HOME…

The Ladies Coupe'

I am sorry to disappoint all my readers, because this is not a book review of ‘Ladies Coupe’. This is my experience in a ladies coupe. And there were more than five ladies in the compartment. A lot more.

I was off to visit my uncle’s place from college with two of my friends. All the other compartments were jet packed, thanks to the bi-elections about to happen in Tamil Nadu. So we thought we would get into the ladies compartment, in spite of the Soumya murder case. We were quite pleased we did that. Or at least I was.

There is always that sincere, loving and caring smile on a lady’s face when she sees a member of the same sex. Probably because only a lady understands another’s worries and pain. Or maybe, it is just because it saves them from the usual stare they get from the opposite gender. And so there were several sincere smiles at us, greeting us like we were their long lost child, providing us with the tiny little gap between them and the nearby lady to let us sit. They spoke to us like we had left their homes for the day and we were back together and were filling each other with the day’s work and fun. Personally, I felt like I was at home talking to my mother or grandmom. I felt at home.

Even the vendor lady busy selling vegetables were smiling at us. Trust me, that is not an everyday sight. She was sure to have a huge money to care back home in the ladies coupe. I loved the journey in the special compartment reserved for us ladies, and given a chance again I would probably visit my fellow ‘travellers’ soon!

A realization, at the station

Staring at the chaos and tracks, alternatively, at the station, boredom had crept in quite well. I got bored looking at people running as fast as their legs could carry them, so that they don't miss their train. I got bored smiling at the babies, who smiled in return( a reaction I find only in small children). I guess even they got bored, because after some time they too turned their faces, probably to smile at someone a lot more beautiful. Or maybe not. Ahhh forget it. But, my eyes started staring at something that landed in front of me. It was staring at me, in return, with black round eyes, and a black body. A crow. A one legged crow.

It hopped from where it had landed to where I was sitting. Only because someone had thrown a piece of chips, by mistake, on the platform. It hopped and hopped, picked the chips piece and enjoyed its taste. Until it set eyes on another crumb of food, to which it hopped and grabbed it. The crow next to it, with two legs, could have been a bit more faster, as it stared at the one-legged crow munch on the food crumb with satisfaction. And then, it flew away. Probably to a better place with a lot more food to catch hold of. When I turned around to see if there were any other sights fascinating enough, I realized that almost every person around the cro was staring at it. In fact one lady also whispered to the lady next to her, "Athinu parakan puthimutaville?"(Won't it be difficult for it to fly). But it flew, despite the wide eyes from its surroundings, out shone itself by grabbing the last crumb, before the more physically able-d crow.

Imagine yourself in that condition, with a broken leg or hand.

I know several people, with injuries, who hesitate to go out and be a part of the crowd, just because he/she are scared people will stare. Imagine what would happen to this crow if it had thought the same. It had no other go but to roam around with that 'disability', so it did so. It overlooked the whisperings and staring from the members of his own species, and went on with life. It really got me thinking, how many of us have the courage to fight the world, in spite of all the negative feedbacks, discouragements and what not.

We definitely have a lot to learn from animals and nature. According to me, they live a more dignified life than us, social animals!

An Ode to Love

Love is never possessive, nor is it jealous.
It does not believe in boasting about, or in irritating their partner better half.
It neither believes in getting angry nor being rude.
It bears all pain and showers happiness for other’s happiness.
Love is neither blind, nor does it believe in everything.
It is never scared, but only of being alone.
It believes in trust and care.
It is neither selfish nor stubborn.
It walks on cloud nine and dreams in the day.
It begins in a wink and stays till the last breath.

A Sum Up...

Who said people do not speak their hearts out? Ofcourse they do. Especially during celebrations. Celebrations is a time for anyone to understand the true nature of anyone else. They may not speak out through their mouth. But one would very well understand what the other person wants to tell through their actions and behaviours.

Few things I learnt during my recent college celebration.

-Expect the unexpected.

- Do in only your 100% and leave the rest to God, because you would anyway receive comments on how bad the whole thing turned out to be inspite of putting in more than your 100%.

- However, there are other people who think they know everything and can do everything in the bestest way possible without anyone's help. Basically, a one man show!

- Dress your best, because in the end all that is going to matter is how good you looked, and not how much hard work you put in.

- Don't expect anything from anyone. Anything refers to any sort of help, physically, mentally or monetarily.

- Don't put in more than what you are supposed to.

- People who you thought were the most hard working people (and who proved to be the same at some point of time) turned out to be the most lazy little freaks.

- Few people tend to behave like they rule the world and everyone around them are slaves and bound to obey
their orders.

- Be ready to witness new faces. Nope, not really new faces. Old faces with a new face. Get it? :P

- Get ready to hear wonderful comments about you and your surronding beings, even if you are completely covered! (the worst of all)

On a lighter note, celebrations are happy and a time to enjoy with one's friends and loved ones. Especially when it is your last!

10 Day Challenge- Strike 3

Next in my list would be the three best moments in my life. These are three mindblowingly-super-fantastic events that made my life a lot more happier and gave more reason for me to live.

1) New Arrival : This would definitely be the first in this list. December 16, 2008. The day my nephew was born. Oh God, Nephew makes it sound so far. The day my boy was born is so much better. He caught my finger with his tiny little fingers and I promised him I would never let that hand go, no matter how big it grows. No matter if it is sun, wind, hay, or rain, as long as I am with him, I would not let anything hurt him. For more details on this very special day of mine, refer to It's a boy!!! post.

2) New Years Eve : Meeting your 2 bestest friends after 3 years would definitely be second on my list. Especially on New Years Eve. Probably the best New Years!! What made it ultra-special and cool is that we spent it at one of my friend's place with just the three of us. We lie down looking at the stars, cut the cake, spoke till 3 in the morning, slept cuddling each other to the fullest, spoke about old memories and new happenings in each other's life, danced like there was no tomorrow....Phew...I wish I would get back those two days.

3) Surprise Filled : Next in line would be my 20th birthday, which was filled with surprises. For more details, go back to Overload of Surprises. My friends made my day. Love you all for that :*

P.S: Trust me, it was really really very difficult to chose three out of the many superb events that made my life a lot more special.

Silence to be enjoyed

All we can and are expected to do is remain silent and enjoy the silence.

Disgust fills my heart when I look around myself.  Where is our mother going to? What is the future of our motherland? With the present of our mother being so evil and unhealthy, what will our children and grand children and the generations to come have to suffer? Won't they blame us for all the atrocities we have caused to our mother? Don't they deserve to enjoy all the rights and fun that they are entitled to?  In a place where people like, Anna Hazare are kept in jail with criminals like Raja and Kanimozhi, what justice do you expect people to obtain? Where girls as small as 4 and 5 are raped and thrown to their home gates, what equality are we fighting for? In a place where even silent processions are answered by rampant violence from the police, what sovereignty do the citizens enjoy? Hindus consider all Muslims as terrorists and all Muslims consider Hindus as enemies- what secularity remains? When people are forced and threatened to vote for a particular candidate, how can we be call it a democratic nation?

Just spend five minutes and think of all the harm we have done to India. Why are we destroying our mother India? When we can't hurt our very own mother then why do so with the mother that is giving us a vast and diverse area to live on? Would we tolerate anyone hurting our very own mother- The lady who brought us to this beautiful world. She suffered the pain of bearing us within her for nine months, and not to mention and forget the years that followed. How many of us would sit peacefully and watch someone look at our mother in a wrong way, let alone rape her? How many of us would not feel bad the next moment after a fight with our mother? If we do, that mother has given birth to a heartless creatures. Are we that?

No G(square) in this area!!!

Three generation of women- an old one, a middle-aged one and a young pretty one. There was just one thing common among all- they were all mothers. And there was one more thing in common. The three of them were hugging their young kids to their hearts, hoping and praying that this train journey is not their last moment with their child. One thing I learnt during the train journey- age does not affect, in any way, the relation between a mother and child.

In this profession, there is no generation gap. Or the G(square), in the 'YO' style!

Happy? Independence Day...

I woke up this morning and... bhoom... my phone was filled with Independence Day messages. A few from people I know, the others from my well wishers?
I guess all of them forgot that the telecom servers were paying them for their texts. So much for the one month message booster huh? Maybe they should have added 'exclusive of special occasions for the country and festivals'. Yes! Independence Day is included in the list of Diwali, Friendship Day, V Day and so on!
Someone in my vicinity just burst crackers. Oh, yes, Independence Day invites bursting of crackers rather than the hoisting of the flag with all of us straight in our spinal cord saluting the best and most beautiful symbol of our nation.
Should we be proud of a nation, where, equality is just preached and not practiced? Where females are pieces of art and creation, to be used to accomplish one's pleasure? Where even baby female fetuses are not saved and given a chance to enjoy life like all of us? Where girls as small as 9 and 10 are raped and thrown? Or maybe they are following the age old use and disuse theory!
What exactly is the future of our mother? In a country where the youth, and the so-called future of India, eat more of burgers and pizza rather than chapathi and sabji, watch more of Star World rather than know more about what the Indian Government is doing to better or worse India, are more inclined towards low waist jeans and T's rather than the Indian sari or dhothi and jubba, who love visiting the beauty parlour more than their college, what is the future of India?
On a lighter and positive note, India is much much better than many other countries, like Vietnam, Myanmar, Burma, Cuba and so on. So there are 'stuff' to be proud of. And there is definitely room for much much more improvement.

HAPPY INDEPENDECE DAY!

P.S: All written are purely personal opinions, feels and emotions. Anyone is free to oppose, support and comment on the post. Any relevance to anyone's feelings is purely coincidental.

Annoyed....

I am right now an annoyed and irritated GIRL, who finds equality among the two sexes not happening. At least not in my town! Why is it that a guy or man or whatever that stupid species call themselves as, gets goosebumps when he sees a girl driving? Why can't they just handle it when they see a girl driving the car in front of them? Why is it that he has to make either faces or comment on her driving or make false, all-of-a-sudden problems with the car? Why do they think they are the only ones who can drive well? Who do they think they are?

Goodbye?

Struck in the middle of his sleep by the scratching of his parent's feet on the floor and the screams from his mother asking him to get up, he felt restless and angry. What a way to start the day! But there was sometime left for the day to come to action. The walk school, the fights and the high pitched screams with friends and teachers respectively, the nagging from his mother to complete his home-work when all he wanted to do was play in his PS3, the delicious dinner before the late night sleep. They all could wait for some more time. But the carefree, peaceful sleep had called it a day!
Until he reached the dark world. A world with no natural light. Unlike the scorching bright rays of the sun that used to wipe out the sleep from his eyes, pitch darkness surrounded him. He ran to his mother with a worried look and asked her how the current could vanish so early in the morning. He felt the Electricity Board had played its game as usual. Little did he know that our great great grandfather had passed away. The Sun!
But life had to move on. So the day began. He got dressed in the dark. He had a tough time in putting his hair intact with no light to help him see. He walked to school with a torch light, to save himself from tripping over a stone. The teachers were kind to their students. They too were mourning the death of their life lighter. However the playground was still filled with kids during the break hours. However there were several cuts and wounds to be taken care of, thanks to the lack of light.
The classes were interrupted by the Princi, who walked in to give in tips to the students, as well as teachers, to go on with normal life. He told them, with the Sun no more there to protect us from the stones and thorns, with day and night being the same, electricity was the only hope. He asked everyone to be careful about the way they use the electricity and to make sure they switched off all lights and fan when they were not being used.He walked back home, nearly missing a broken branch. He informed his parents on what the Princi had asked them to do. With no mood to watch tv or play PS3, he had an early dinner and went off to bed early.

He woke up all of a sudden to the bright daylight, sweat dripping from his forehead. His mother came into the room, with an angry face, telling him it was getting late for school. Seeing her son's tensed face, she hugged him tight and told him it was just a dream. A very bad dream. In the shelter of his mother's chest, he lay for sometime, before the day called for him.
Could this little boy's bad dream be a reality?

A Resoultion...

We celebrated Friendship Day today,
Our last friendship day at college,
We had our fights and hatred,
In the three years at our second-home,
We came alone, and will leave alone,
But today,
There was no difference, there was no one alone,
No hatred or fights, not even on the faces,
We tied bands on every person's hands,
With no bands, our wishes played the game,
And today I have taken this resolution,
To forget all hatred, and to love all,
During the final few months left,
At our second-home,
At our college.

Love Letter...

What can you say about a twenty-five year old girl who died? That she was beautiful. And brilliant. That she loved Mozart and Bach. And the Beatles. And me

While reading the legendary lines from the  Love Story by Erich Segal, my heart skipped a beat. The cup of coffee that was keeping me from drowsing off, now helped me from spilling my eyes with tears. I clenched on to it for support.  The lines were filled with love, compassion, pain and sorrow. The same love and compassion I felt for Raj, the moment I set eyes upon him on the first day of college.
He was the macho-man, and I was the silent, library type. Girls would fight to grab an opportunity to be seated next to him, while I only wished to do so. I tried avoiding him, turning pages of the books in the library. I tried letting myself know that I was not his type. And never would be. I tried writing down notes to myself telling why I would never have a chance with him. But deep in my heart, I hoped for him to glance at me at least once. I hoped for him to take the first step in asking me my name. After all that is the guy's job right?
Days passed by. And then months. But my hopes remained to be hopes. They even started to fade away. Slowly, but reluctantly. I still wished he would have noticed me. Seen me through the wide glasses and braided hair. Seen how much I loved him and cared for him. But, would he?

Oh yes he did! The most special day in any lover’s life. The V Day! I entered the classroom to a bunch of roses waiting for me on my desk. With a personalized card, saying, “You thought you were blind to me. You thought I didn’t notice you, everytime you walked into the classroom. On the outside your face was filled with those wide glasses, and your hair was always neatly braided. But you were the only person who didn’t make any effort to make me notice you. No make-up, no short dresses. You were just you. The uniqueness in you just grabbed me towards you. And I have been dieing to tell you that I love you, and request you to do me the honour of being my valentine for today and the rest of my life”. And yes I did.
We had our moments of love and fights. Our fights would end up with me crying and he apologizing. But we never told each other a sorry or thank you. Because, true love never asked you to do so. Or so we felt. Even with years passing by, and his stomach gaining a little more of fat and eyes surrounded by wrinkles, he continued to be a macho-man. Atleast for me. Our moments of love. Was filled with pure love.
But it’s all over. It came to an end, the day the truck hit Raj’s car, on his way back home from office. My life came to an end. Or so I thought. Until I went through his diary for the first time, where it was written. Raj probably saw it coming. It read,

“Love, you are the best thing that ever happened to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better wife and life. The life that you gave me. You stood by me through thick and thin. Through darkness and light. You loved me no matter how rude I was with you. You always welcomed me with a smile on that beautiful face of yours, no matter how late it was. I do not know if I have lived up to your expectations and love you poured me with. But one thing I assure you is that no matter how far we might seem to be, I am always next to you, loving you, hugging you tight and supporting you. In what ever you do. P.S: I love you. And always will.”

So what do you say about a twenty-nine year old boy who died? That he was awesomly handsome. And intelligent. And that he loved soccer, and his guitar. And my chapathi and paneer butter masala. And me.

...Bag of Wishes...

Everyone has felt that crave to do something, that seems to be completely wild, crazy and impossible at times. Things that might be crazy for some, might be natural to others. But maybe the craziness and the 'no you are not supposed to do that' is what makes it a lot more challenging to accomplish. Well, here are a few of my wild wishes, I hope comes true someday...

1) TATOO
The programs on television showing how innumerable people get their bodies filled with tattoos, shows it to be completely normal for a large number of people. But, the 'no's' and weird looks given by my parents, when I ask them if I can get a small tattoo (for their satisfaction not visible to anyone), makes it quite a challenge for me to get one. So, here goes my first wish: A small tattoo on my ankle..!!! A small angel with a heart on one side, and 'believe' written on the other side. It depicts every stage in my life that I have gone through, which is usually filled with problems. I have always had a sweet angel saving me and helping me go through the tough times, and love has always played a very important role in my life, be it love from any individual. And a small note of reminder to everyone who sees it, to believe. Believe in God, believe in your loved ones, and most importantly believe in that angel of yours. It will definitely come to your rescue, without you knowing it. Wow..kewl!!

2) GO BUNGEE JUMPING
I could probably represent India for acrophobia- fear of heights. Or maybe even the world. I can't even go on a simple roller coaster, forget bungee jumping. I still remember when my sister insisted me to accompany my nephew on a small ride which moves up and down. It is meant for toddlers, so you can imagine the speed of the ride. And my sister literally fell on the floor laughing, because my nephew, who is just two, was enjoying and giggling while me, sitting behind him was scared to the core. What embarrassment! The 'no's' from my mind when I see a roller coaster, would be why I would like to go to the heights of challenging my fear of heights. P.S: Seeing the picture itself makes me sick! Phew...Ya right!!

3) EIFFEL TOWER
A romantic evening at Eiffel tower with the person I love the most, would be third in my list. In fact, in this busy world, being with your loved one, be it anywhere, is a gift in itself. Why Eiffel Tower in particular, is because, it is the epitome of love and romance. Why? I do not know. So, I would love to know, which is why I would like to go there for once. Why a crazy idea, because I am not sure if my better half, where ever he is, would want to spend so much money and time just to be with me in front of one of the wonders of the world. Hmmm..I hope!!

4) HEEELLLSSS
A person who has not experiences it, would ever understand how it feels to not be able to wear those beautiful, trendy, sexy pair of heels. Having a ligament tear seemed to be completely fine for me, apart from me not able to play my greatest passion anymore, until for sometime now. When I see ladies wear those pretty, cute, adorable heels, I wonder- Why can't I??!! I wish..!!! Wearing the best outfit you could ever get, wearing the matching bracelet and earring is just incomplete without those heels. So my next wish would definitely be to wear those out-of-the-world shoes to improve on my looks and first impression..Oh I wish!!!

5) EAT..EAT...AND EAT MORE...
Next in my list, would be to eat as much as my heart's will. And to be precise about the food..JUNK FOOD!! Being nearly a weight conscious person restricts me from eating the junk food to my heart's content. I would love to have all the burgers, pizzas, hot dogs, sausages, chips and what not..!!Ah..my mouth is already watering.! But, yes I would definitely not want a huge body after all the hogging..Ah...I wish!!!

6) RIDE A BIKE
This is one of those wishes which I believe is closest to reality. But still, there is that what if's and but's..!!!So ya I wish I could vrooommmm on the road with my very own bike. And I am sure if ever I do, I would be better than the guys. Hmmm..Oh ya!!!

7) SEE A MIRACLE
This is one wish I really really wish for. And the one farthest to reality. To witness a miracle. To believe that there is something called luck. Someone called God.. But, like how I mentioned in my first wish, I am believing in myself and that cute little angel of mine, that has always been to my rescue and has given me strength and power to bear everything. I am sure the angel would definitely show me a miracle.

A lot of these wishes of mine may seem normal for many out there.. But these small wishes mean a lot to me..!!

Fully Clad Queens

It is believed that the more skin you show the more sexy you look, which in turn attracts more towards you. However these ladies seem to still stick on to their traditional costumes for their everyday chores, and infact there are still few ladies who cover themselves completely even inside the four walls of their homes. Surprised? Please don't be. Oh and not to forget, they still are the most beautiful ladies I have come across. With minimal skin shown, they make us remember that even though no or little skin is shown you can grab the attention of anyone.
This robe of theirs known as the 'jalibyia' or commonly known as the abhaya, is made up of several layers of chiffon and are believed to be inspired by the Greek designed dresses. They come in different shapes and are also adorned with sequences and embroidery to beautify one-selves during occasions and festivals.

The 'hijab' or the head-scarf is used to cover the hair of the women. It perceives a repsiect to the woman from the society. In olden days, only women from the urban class covered their head, whereas, women from the rural class, nomads and prostitutes were asked not to. Thus the 'hijab' helps the society distinguish you from the respectable to the 'not's'. And they adorn their 'hijab's' with accessories which give them that extra look. However, nowadays almost every Muslim woman wears them. In other orthodox countries, like Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Kuwait etc, women also cover their face with a veil or 'niqab'which is another accepted norm in the Islam religion. However, nowadays, we find the newer generation cover only their heads, whereas the older women veil their faces as well, showing only their eyes.

So what gives them that extra look? They make-up themselves with natural cosmetics made by themselves at homes. They rarely switch to the chemically made cosmetics, and, perhaps that is why they look naturally beautiful. They wash their skin using indigo, which is crushed into a powder and is rinsed off with the leaves of becium dhofarense. Also, it is used on the face to decorate it with beautiful patterns during festivals. For moisturizes, they grind seeds of prumus mahled with the yellow pigment of carthamus tincturums flower. Also they adorn their hands with the beautiful mehandi designs, which is also made my crushing the leaves of the mehandi plant and made into a paste with water.
Even though only their eyes are shown, they show it prominently. That would probably be the feature of theirs that speaks the most. They protrude those speaking features with 'Kohl' or eye-liner, in modern language, which again is made at home. It is made from the frankincese or roots of arvea jevanica , and is applied using a small silver stick or wood. So, now you know what gives them those magnificent, ever speaking eyes!

Not to forget, they look amazing as brides as well.

I, as an Indian, have always adored the eyes of the Arabic women, and them as a whole. And, I can say with complete confidence, that they truly are queens that are fully covered!

Extravaganza from Netherlands

It was truly an honour for me to be a part of the wonderful 2011 Dutch Flower Show held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel, Wadi Al Kabir in Oman, and to be one among the Duchess' of Ambassadors and sit on those beautifully made chairs with them to witness how Tim Van Liepsig, from the land of flowers, Netherlands, made extraordinary arrangements of flowers in a wink of an eye.
I was a bit nervous, to be very honest, since it was my very first 'official' reporting, plus, for a very renowned newspaper in Oman, Muscat Daily. I did not have to beg and plead for information from people since I didn't have any 'ID' to show my journalism reality, which was an added advantage for me. But, I had the coolest and sweetest person, whom I was accompanying, and she made me at ease. We lost our way in the beginning, and not to mention the so-called cleaner or so of the hotel tried to play around with us as well. However, all we had to do was to get to the right floor. The scent of the flowers just led our way to the hall.
As soon as we entered the hall.. Ah what a site.. To see all the flowers sprinkle out from their packets and smell their scent truly made my goosebumps rise up to the fullest. And to add on, the beautiful women all clad in even more beautiful dresses was truly a sight to the eye. And then, to know that they were all Duchess' in one way or the other, was the icing on the cake.
Oh, and not to forget.. The man of the show..
Tim Van Lipseig kept on talking about something or the other. Or maybe about nothing, in special. He just loved to talk. And that is what he was doing. I guess he loved being the centre of attraction among so many beautiful ladies!
And then the most amazing class I have ever sat in. He just played around with the flowers, turning them this side and then the other side, placing them one beside the other. He arranged them mostly in one colour each, i.e, a bouquet mostly contained either white or red or some other colour flowers. And he arranged them in a span of second, and made it look so easy, that anyone could do it. However, one of the Duchess Ambassador mentioned it aloud, that when she tried arranging them it goes one way and the other flower the other.
Not to mention, the women around me did not seem like they were sophisticated women from the big houses. They all seemed to be normal ladies, excited to be there just like me and laughing as aloud as they wish to.
Then, Tim told us various details about various flowers. The do's and don't's while arranging flowers. He also went a bit personal by showing us the bouquet he made for his wife on their wedding. I must say, I wish I had a bouquet like that for my wedding.
I did not know that there were so many varieties of flowers, tulips, chrysanthemums and what not, until I met Tim.
P.S: Don't go to Holland asking for tulips now, because it is very expensive as the season for them are over.

And the calla dark arum lily which he used for his wedding bouquet with the spooky asparagus white leaves were just mind blowing.
Ah I can just go on and on about the entire show. And he loved to click photographs with his bouquet of flowers. He just stood there with his final arrangement of bouquets after every arrangement so that people could go on clicking photographs. I wish I got one of those bouquets. But he would not be doing that this time. Out of the bunches of all the good luck the day brought in to me, this had to be one bad, very bad luck it brought to me.

But , I would still cherish the moments to be one of the best in my professional and personal life.
Enjoy your life with flowers. Buy them, play with them, come up with beautiful new arrangements, exchange them with friends, greet friends with them, gift them beautifully arranges bouquets. There is so much to do with flowers, that people just don't realize.
P.S: Btw, please do not go to a Chinese hospital, and give them red flowers, if Get Well Soon, is what you wanted to convey. You would turn out to convey a death notice to them! :)
